My superhero mom

You are my strength and my rock
Having you in my life is my luck
I’m proud of the man I am because of you
You molded me and cared for me as I grew
Sacrificing your own wants and needs
When I’m sick, I know your heart bleeds
I see when you’re worried and scared
Arguing with me because you cared
Because I came home late
You made my childhood so great
I’m so lucky and happy to have you
You taught me to fly, and I flew
I watched you struggle, but you never gave up
Drip by drip. You made sure to full our cup
Growing up, we didn’t have it all
But I know every single time you would answer our call
Making sure we were looked after
Filling our days with so much laughter
Mom, you are my blessing
Your superpowers left us guessing
How did you do it all
How is it you kept your head up and would never fall
You taught me how to be a man
I saw life get tough, but you never ran
You stood tall and protected us
I saw you hurting but never fuss
You keep a strong look on your face
Powering through problems with grace
My only superhero is my mother
In my life, she’s more valuable than any other
Watching you stretch what we had to make it last
I know struggling to raise us was a task
I saw you not eat to make sure we had food
You was never sad, always in a good mood
I saw you studying the lessons beforehand
Just so you could explain it to us so we would understand
Mom, I watched you do it all
And I felt your love before I could crawl
I’m truly blessed to have you by my side
When I make it to the top I’ll carry you for the ride
