Everyday I run to escape the real world
Off to dream land where my fears swirl
Rushing to get home to go to sleep
Where I could travel worlds with one leap
Oh I wish I could live in dream land
To walk on the shifting sand
Stay under the fruitful evergreen
And witness more miracles than I’ve ever seen
Where huge whales soar in the sky
Where impossiblities shine in your eye
No harm can befall you as you lay
On the golden tranquility Bay
Where anything you want is a dream away
Forever you wish that you could stay
We could soar across great seas
And open any door with our master keys
For its angels we walk beside
Here imagination and impossibility collide
Run away to this land that I’ve created
The opposite of the real world and everything you hated
Here there’s no hunger or greed
There’s no looming danger to heed
No politician or businessman
Only the magical shifting sand
Before us is our greatest fantasy
The colors are the most beautiful I’ve ever see
But sadly we all must wake up
To full coffee in our cup
See the dream isn’t meant to last
It’s just a slow down when the world is going too fast
